All plots are within the Saint-Estèphe appellation and border on châteaux Haut-Marbuzet, Cos d’Estournel, Montrose, Meyney, Phélan-Ségur, Calon-Ségur, de Pez, Les Ormes de Pez…

One of Château Clauzet's main advantages is proximity to the river and it’s tempering influence on the microclimate.

Another is the sandy-gravel rises that provide excellent drainage and oblige the vine roots to sink through many layers of different kinds of soils to find water, sometimes to a depth of over 12 meters.

In fact, the complex soil structure at Clauzet creates a host of nuances in the wine, and extremely complex aromas.
